As one of the steps to prevent re-mining due to unavailability of alternative income source, the program is expected to provide value and benefits to the local community (Community Empowerment). Initiatives that are in line with government policy in maintaining environmental sustainability, food security, and climate change are of international concern.
The program will cover a wide range of categories, including land conservation, agriculture, environmental education and agribusiness, with support from various stakeholders.
PT Refined Bangka Tin (RBT) is committed to implementing the Sustainable Reclamation Program by planting forest and food crops that are economical and safe to consume in order to revitalize or restore the function of unproductive land.

Bangka Belitung, Indonesia, August 15, 2017 - PT Refined Bangka Tin (RBT) announces Sustainable Reclamation Program "Green for Good", this program is a land conservation program to restore the function of unproductive land. As one of the largest tin producers in Indonesia running the Sustainable Reclamation Program, RBT will restore 50 hectares of former mining areas to be used as land conservation, agriculture, agrotourism and eco-education areas that teach farmers and protect the environment . RBT also wants to ensure that all mining activities are managed by promoting environmental interests. This effort is a testament to RBT's commitment to preserving the environment and supporting government efforts to prevent climate change.
